I was tagged by both Michelle & Brittany for this blog! I'm suppose to share 7 random and/or weird facts about myself & tag 7 randam people and the end to continue the chain. Since I'm one of the most random people I know the first part shouldn't be difficult. However the 2nd part should be interesting!!!!
1. I hate the sound of nails on a chalkboard more than anything else in the world probably. Even thinking about the possibility of hearing it makes me break out in chills. When someone even acts like they are going to do it I go craaaaaazy!!! Eeeeeek!
2. I've always loved old musicals. It started when I was a kid. My Grandma & Grandpa Borgholthaus introduced me to my first loves in that field Jeanette MacDonald & Nelson Eddy. Most people have no idea who these people are. I've always loved their movies. Granted they can be a bit corny when viewed in today's world, but still thoroughly enjoyable. Of course my girlfriends and husband are not near as enthusiastic as I am, but they don't know what they're missing.
3. I'm a huge fan of useless information. I can be one of the most random people at the oddest times. Sometimes it takes a little bit to get used to. My girlfriends actually gave me a book once full of useless information! It was one of the most fascinating books I've ever read. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I had wondered myself many of the items in the book!
4. I'm fascinated with vampires. Don't get me wrong, I would never want them to be a reality and I don't dress up like them and pretend they are a reality. I'm not that far off my rocker. But I love reading fictional books and watching fictional movies about them! I think Tom thinks I'm a little batty. He once told me he didn't think I could surprise him with the topic for one of my books. I've read everything from vampires, warewolves & witches to "normal type" books. I enjoy them all!
5. I don't have a hometown. Growing up we moved every 4 or so years. My Dad used to work for First Security Bank. We moved all over the state of Idaho as well as Clarkston, WA (for those of you not familiar with Idaho & Washington Clarkston is just over the border! If my count is right, we moved 7 times before I graduated from highschool (that would be 8 locations). Of course 2 of the locations we lived at twice. It always makes it difficult when I'm explaining where I'm from.
6. I've had a very difficult time picking a major. I am 32 years old and I've finally decided what I want to be when I grow up. Typical of me huh??? I think I've had about 6 different majors that I was sure was what I wanted to do. I am very interested in many different subjects. I had a hard time chosing which one of them I would want to do for the rest of my life. I don't know if that makes me well rounded or undecided. I've finally made my decision. Assuming I don't get pregnant, I'll start my new vocation at the ripe old age of 35 or so. I'm hoping someone will be willing to hire me.
7. I have a strange fascination for cookbooks. Even before I started really cooking, I found myself buying cookbooks I probably would never use. Luckily it was never out of control. It's not like I have a empty room full of them or anything. However I must confess that I have gotten rid of a few of them because I didn't see myself using them. Now that I actually cook I wish I still had them. Ironic huh???
Now I tag Tara, Ashley, Tom, Alicia, Janssen, Leslie, Marie, & Merrick. That's 8 people, but oh well!

Hi - I found your blog in a round about way through Janssen's. (I found Janssen when searching for a book - one on which she just happened to do a review. I didn't even know what blogging was until then! I've followed her blogs ever since.)
This blog completely spoke to me. I am the same on numbers 1,2,5,6, and 7. Also, I have at times had an interest in vampires, witches, werewolves, ghosts - just curious, you know. I sympathize about deciding what you want to do. I'm in my 50's and still haven't decided what I want to be or do. lol
When did you live in Clarkston? We have done most of our shopping in Lewiston area for the past 20 years (JoAnn Fabric and Costco are in Clarkston - important stores!). Starting about 1998, my daughter took piano lessons in Clarkston and voice and piano lessons in Lewiston, so we were there at least once a week. Then this same daughter lived in Lewiston until last June while she attended LCSC (now is she is in Moscow at the U of I).
Sorry to write a book.
You like useless information too. I was reading in the Scroll (the BYU-Idaho school newspaper) and somewhere it stated that the earth is struck something like 300 million times a second and 400 people survive being struck by lightning...I don't always retain the information correctly, but that second stat is scary.
I better get going on my 7 quirks.
Hmmm. You ARE weird. Just kidding. I dont know if I can even think of seven random facts about myself. Some might be the same as yours. (Defintaley not the old movie one....*boom*- that is the sound of me shooting myself) Love you and miss you!
I lived in Clarkston 2 different times around 1978-1981 & 1985-1986 I think.
Thanks for the reply. I would have been in Lewiston/Clarkston some in those years. We used to go to an eye doctor in Clarkston, but I can't remember his name. Seems in those days we did most of our shopping in Boise or Spokane - just an excuse to see city lights.
