Tommy My Hero
So I've got to tell all of you what a doll I married! I had the best surprise waiting for me when I got home from work yesterday. I had washed our clothes on Saturday (like I do every weekend) and had managed to fold all the clothes. However, actually getting them back into the closet and dresser seems to be a constant trial for me. So, the clothes were in the bedroom in nice folded piles on the floor. Monday & Tuesday I came home and meant to put away the clothes before I went to bed. This did not happen. So, Wednesday I went home with a firm commitment in my mind to absolutely do it, not if ands or buts! The great surprise was when I got home the bedroom was neat as a pin. Even the bed was made! My amazing husband had taken time out of his day to clean the bedroom. The night before, he had cleaned the kitchen. I married a gem!

Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving was a lot of fun this year! We got abandoned by Tom's parents. They decided to go to see the grandkids in Indiana and left us behind. Fortunately for us, Tom's grandpa and most of his kids and grandkids had a mini-family reunion/thanksgiving dinner. The coordination started about a month ago, getting all the RSVPs & dish assignments assigned. When Tom emailed his Aunt that we could bring potato rolls or pumpkin cheesecake, I thought it would be buzy but doeable. Thanksgiving week at work is what everyone there calls "hell week". This is due to the reason that we have 3 days to get 5 days of work done. Always exciting. Obviously not a lot of time after I get home to do any cooking. Well, the assignments came back and guess what I got assigned: rolls & cheesecake. I heard about that with a groan! Luckily, I got enough done on Monday & Tuesday and was able to leave on Wednesday a little early. Well, except for a little problem with the cheesecake crust and it cracking a little everything went great. I was even asked for the roll recipe. Tastey! The best part of the food asignments was Tom's brother got assigned .....wait for it......are you ready.....butter! Freakin' butter, I was thinking it better be freshly churned! No such luck. But he did come over Wednesday night and helped do dishes while we cooked!
After thanksgiving we went over to Ashley's in laws and visited them for a little bit! It was fun to see some of my family for a little bit. I got to see Kinsey take a bath. So cute!
The rest of the weekend was relaxing! Overall, it was a great weekend!

Greatest Movie of All Time?????
I want to start this blog by stating.....I just don't get it! I have no idea who decided this (2001: A Space Odyssey) was the greatest movie of all time, but whomever it was must have been on something at the time. I can now say I've seen most of this movie. I say most because it was so slow I fell asleep twice while watching it. And this is coming from the girl that loves old movies that usually bore other people.
The best part of this movie (and this says a lot) is the beginning when there are a lot of apes yelling at each other with ape sounds and jumping all over the place. From there on it just gets really weird! Until the end is the part I just don't get! I'm the kind of person that likes to watch a movie or read a book for the enjoyment of it. And this movie just didn't cut it for me!
If anyone could explain what the last 10 or so minutes of this movie means to me I would appreciate it. Supposedly the guy becomes a "star child". No freakin' idea at all. The movie ended and Tom & I looked at each other and both thought the same thing...."HUH???"

Profit Sharing
Last night was our yearly profit sharing meeting for my work. I call it a business meeting where they happen to feed you. Tom, however, calls it a free dinner. Interesting how people have different views on the same experience!
At my work they invest money in an employees name. This of course gathers interest based on how well the investments increased that year. This year we did quite well...yeah! Also an exciting thing is I'm now fully vested!
This is a nice start to our retirement, somewhere down the road! We of coarse hope to continue to build upon this! I really love the company I work for! Pete really set up the Company to help the employees. Biggest heart in the world!
Dinner was really good too. We had chicken cordon bleu (or something like that) & cheese cake for dessert. Nummy! The rolls were very good too. Anyone that know my family know we like rolls a lot. All that starch, tastey!

Job Interviews
I was talking to Tara today and she informed me that I need to submit more blogs. I proceeded to inform her how boring my life was and other people couldn't possibly want to read about it. She told me I needed to blog about anything. Tom then informed me that something that I find boring might not be boring for someone else, so here goes.
This part is actually pretty exciting for us. Our excitement right now is Tom's interviews for a real career. For those of you that don't know, Tom's in his senior year. He's been working really hard the past little while on his senior project. In the past few weeks he's had a few on-campus interviews. This is when companies that are looking for engineers to hire at the end of the school year come to the school and interview the seniors.
All the companies he's interviewed with he's pretty enthusiastic about. There aren't really any bad choices at this point. One in particular is pretty exciting, although it would be quite a change to our life right now. They would transfer us around every 9 months or so for the first 5 or so years. They have sites all over the world. It would be crazy, but very exciting and a crazy experience.
Who knows where he's get an offer. There's no knowing where we'll end up.
Exciting!
